About this work
Two women in patterned kimono, one in red with gold floral motifs and one in blue and white with cloud-like designs, walk beneath flowering cherry trees against a flat tan ground. The stylized figures wear wide pale hats and their garments are rendered with bold outlines and decorative pattern. The print is titled The Third Month (Yayoi) and was made by Kamisaka Sekka in 1909-1910.
