About this work
A hanging scroll style landscape shows a thatched-roof dwelling beside a calm lake, framed by a gnarled tree and a steep rocky cliff. Distant blue mountains and a small boat on the water complete the scene, with a vertical column of brush-written calligraphy in the upper right. The work is dated 1847 and attributed to Tsubaki Chinzan.
