About this work
This woodblock print shows Mount Fuji rising above the still, rippling surface of Lake Kawaguchi, its upper slopes covered in snow under a pale green sky. A dark band of trees and buildings lies along the far shore, with soft violet-blue tones across the mountain's lower flanks. The print is dated 1937 and attributed to Shōzaburō Watanabe.
