About this work
A Japanese woodblock print shows a group of men in layered robes and swords walking through a garden courtyard, while several women in patterned kimono kneel or sit on a veranda beside lanterns. The architecture, stone lantern, and pine trees are rendered in muted green, red, and black tones within a decorative border.
