About this work
A Japanese woodblock print showing a river crossing beneath a dark conical mountain, with travelers in hats and carrying loads wading along the sandy banks. Thatched-roof houses and a grove of bare and evergreen trees line the hillside beside pink cliffs. This print by Utagawa Hiroshige is dated 1855 and is titled Kakegawa.
