About this work
A woodblock print titled Fuchu by Utagawa Hiroshige, dated 1855, showing a crowded street lined with wooden buildings and tiled roofs beneath a willow tree. A pale crescent moon hangs above a mountain in the background, and figures in kimono walk, ride, and gather on a raised veranda overlooking the scene.
