About this work
A black and white political cartoon printed in Life, showing a hatched map of the United States with large letters spelling UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Exaggerated caricatures of well-dressed men in top hats and suits stand across the map, and one figure near the top left is labeled ALASKA. The work is titled The United States of Guggenheimerica and was made by William Henry Walker in 1912.
