About this work

A colorful serio-comic map of Europe in which countries are drawn as caricatured figures and animals, with a large uniformed ruler dominating the eastern landscape and a man in a top hat fishing from the British Isles. Printed text panels and a key map in the corner explain the political references. The work is attributed to Frederick W. Rose and dated 1899.
