About this work
A woman in a striped kimono leans over a naked infant seated on a blue wave-patterned cloth, holding a fan decorated with waves. A round inset in the upper right shows a smaller scene of a child with a fan, beneath a vertical title cartouche. This woodblock print is attributed to Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) and dated ca. 1830-1843.
