About this work
A woodblock print titled Snow Scene; Woman in Blue, Man in Red and Blue, Under Black and White Umbrella, attributed to Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III), dated to the 19th century. A man in a patterned red and blue robe and a woman in a deep blue kimono walk together under a black and white striped umbrella as snow falls against a dark sky. Snow-covered trees and a pale riverbank frame the scene.
