About this work
A woodblock print shows a standing kabuki actor in an elaborately patterned green robe decorated with tassels, a red lacquered box on his head, and a folded fan in hand. A small inset panel at upper right depicts a costumed warrior figure, and a pink fan-shaped cartouche with Japanese calligraphy sits at upper left.
