About this work
A Japanese woodblock print shows a group of seated figures in patterned kimono gathered on a blue floor beneath red paper lanterns in a covered veranda, with a tea service and dishes arranged before them. A stone lantern and garden trees appear beyond the open space, and the printed title cartouche and border frame the scene.
