About this work
A Japanese woodblock print shows a woman in a patterned kimono leaning over a small child who holds a brush at an inkstone box, with paper laid out on a low table. Vertical columns of text and a cartouche reading 浮世五色合 with the signature Kunisada appear at the upper left.
