About this work
A Japanese woodblock-style print shows round sweets in grey, green, and orange hanging from thin dark branches against a pale background. Handwritten calligraphic verses, a red paper tag, a red circular seal, and small pale green flower sketches appear across the sheet. The work is attributed to Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) and dated 1820-1830.
