About this work
A detailed lithographic cutaway view shows an elaborate Victorian residence with turrets, flags, and gas-lit interiors, set in a landscaped garden with fountains and lamp posts. Underground pipes and gas tanks are shown beside the house, and a boat labeled Augusta floats on the river at left. The print was produced in 1875 by Krebs Lith. Co for the National Gas Works Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
