This lithographic section drawing shows the interior of a gas works with rows of retort furnaces, vertical pipes, and purifying towers within brick buildings. The sheet bears the title naming R.T. Coverdale as engineer and contractor for the erection of gas works in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was printed by Strobridge & Co. Lith. in 1868, and states a generating and purifying capacity of 30,000 cubic feet per diem.
