About this work
This print from Seiei; A Design Book, plate 9, by Yamada Naosaburō, dated 1907, shows a dark grey field across most of the sheet. In the lower right, a tiled pattern of interlocking triangles and hexagons in pink, teal, maroon and cream rises diagonally, while a dotted yellow disc and dark silhouetted birds appear in the upper right.
