A muscular, bare-chested man sits on the ground in dark loose trousers, gripping a small bottle or vessel while a long-hilted sword rests beside him. A dark rock and ink-wash foliage fill the upper left, with a red seal impression on the right. This page is from Utagawa Hiroshige's album of sketches, dated ca. 1850.
