About this work
An ink drawing on paper shows a dynamic standing warrior figure in patterned robes, gripping a long staff or weapon over his shoulder with one hand while the other arm extends outward. Japanese calligraphy appears in two vertical columns beside the figure, and the sheet is mounted within a speckled decorative border.
