An ink line drawing on paper shows a standing man in layered robes leaning forward toward a kneeling woman with an upswept hairstyle and hair ornament. The figures are rendered with sparse contour lines and selective dark wash in the garments. This plate is from the album of sketches by Katsushika Hokusai and his disciples, dated to the 19th century.
