About this work
A two-page spread from The Kōrin Picture Book, plate 19, by Hōchū Nakamura, dated to the 1800s. Pale white plum blossoms with yellow centers and red-orange petals cluster along gray ink branches, with a large diagonal trunk sweeping across the lower half of the sheet.
