About this work
A chromolithographic print shows a woman in plaid knickerbockers and a dark jacket clasping hands with a moustached man in a checked shirt and cap, both standing beside a bicycle. Surrounding them are smaller fashion figures in Victorian and 1890s styles, including ballgowns, walking coats and top hats. The print is dated 1895 and is attributed to Samuel Ehrhart.
