About this work
A multi-panel color print by Samuel Ehrhart, dated 1908, presenting caricatured figures of fortune tellers and mystics, including a palmist, a crystal-gazer, a tea-leaf reader and an astrologer. Each vignette pairs a costumed seer with a satirical caption and a related prop such as cards, a teapot or a crystal ball.
