About this work

A colored lithograph shows a dense crowd of well-dressed men and women rushing toward a gambling resort, passing under an arch shaped like a roulette wheel and playing cards that spells out Saratoga. A tall Uncle Sam figure in striped trousers and a starred vest stands at the right, holding banknotes, while signs for poker, faro, roulette and a gambling palace fly above the scene. Published as Once more he leads the world by Samuel Ehrhart in 1902.
