About this work
A colorful satirical print in the form of a crowded parade, with caricatured figures carrying banners that mock financial frauds, quack medicine, and mail order scams. A red automobile labeled "The Merry Money Makers" leads the procession past a city skyline, while a uniformed policeman watches from the left beside an American flag. The work is titled "Labor day" and was made by Samuel Ehrhart in 1909.
