About this work
A chromolithographic political cartoon by Bernhard Gillam, dated 1884, shows an elderly man in worn clothes climbing a garden wall marked 'No admittance to lobbyists, jobbers and other objectionable characters,' while a bulldog labeled Cleveland looks up at him. The wall also carries a poster reading 'For Cheap Guano' with the names Blaine and Logan, and a figure in a white hat labeled Independent peers over the wall.
