About this work
A large, tall color lithograph shows an exaggerated caricature of a soldier in a red coat with white cross-belts, a tall yellow shako, and a powdered braided queue. He holds a musket whose muzzle is decorated with a bouquet of red flowers, and his mouth is wide open in an exclamation.
