A hand-colored profile portrait of Pope Paul III wearing a gilded papal tiara set with jewels and a golden, pearl-trimmed vestment with gem-studded orphreys. The sitter's long white beard and aged features are rendered in fine line engraving with washes of color. This print by Raphaël Jacquemin, dated 1869, is based on an engraving by Agostino Veneziano.
