About this work
A hand-colored print of four fashionable Parisian women and a young girl shown in full-length 18th-century costume, each labeled with a garment or outing type. The figures wear elaborate gowns, plumed headwear, a parasol and bonnets, and carry walking sticks against a plain pale background. The work is attributed to Raphaël Jacquemin, dated 1869, and titled Dames de Paris, 1774-79, drawn from nature.
