About this work

A magazine cover in flat colour with a green field, a stream of white swirling lines, and several deer, including a pair in the foreground and one in the distance. Scattered yellow, pink and red maple leaves fall across the scene, and a vertical red banner carries Japanese characters. The English masthead reads The Ladys Graphic, November 1906, and the work is attributed to Mitsutani Kunishiro, dated 1906 to 1920.
