A woman in a cream kimono with a patterned obi stands beside a gnarled pine tree, holding a bundle of purple irises and a small pair of scissors. Tall green reeds and iris plants fill the background along a grey embankment. This colour woodblock print by Toshikata Mizuno is dated 1898 and is titled Kyōiku imayō bijin fūzoku zen, Pl.05.
