About this work
This print from Shimizu Seifū's 1913 Unai no tomo series shows a group of painted toy chickens and roosters, arranged around a green and yellow stick. The figures are colored in red, orange, yellow, green, and black on a pale background, with handwritten Japanese inscriptions in the upper and side margins.
