About this work
A woodblock-style print shows a white rooster with a black tail and red comb beside a folding screen painted with green and blue pine branches. A red and blue decorative toy chicken sits in the lower left, with handwritten Japanese inscriptions in the margins. This plate is from Unai no tomo, attributed to Shimizu Seifū and dated 1913.
