About this work
The plate shows two painted tiger figurines in yellow with black stripes, one seen from a raised angle with a red-trimmed face and green eyebrows, the other standing on a stack of pink and grey books. Handwritten characters appear in the upper and right margins. This print, titled Unai no tomo Pl. 046, is attributed to Shimizu Seifū and dated 1913.
