A color woodblock print in the Japanese style shows a fierce armored warrior with flowing hair and a white headband, gripping a spear and bursting through a swirling circular frame. His patterned robe and lacquered red-and-gray armor are rendered with bold outlines and touches of yellow and orange against a dark background.
