About this work
A Japanese-style woodblock print showing a sunflower stalk with broad serrated green leaves, several green buds, and two yellow sunflower heads, one seen in profile and one full-faced with a dotted tan center. Small pink blossoms with red centers appear in the lower part of the composition. The work is titled Sun flowers and is attributed to Sakai Hōitsu.
