About this work

This design panel, titled Panneau avec un homme chinois tenant un parasol et une perruche, is attributed to Alexis Peyrotte and dated 1745-1752. It shows a seated figure in a blue robe holding a parasol and a small parakeet, framed by gilded rococo scrollwork, garlands of flowers, perched birds, and monkeys on the lower corners.
