About this work
A hand-colored engraved view shows a fortified coastal town rising across terraced hills above a bay filled with sailing ships and small boats. A banner across the top bears the title Villa Francia apvd Niciam ad Varvm, with a coat of arms held by a cherub, and a numbered key runs along the bottom edge. The print is dated 1709 and is attributed to Anna Beek.
