About this work
A hand-colored engraved view of the fortified city of Casal, shown from a hillside with a river winding through the surrounding plain, a citadel at right, and a small map inset of the town's bastion plan in the lower right. Two horsemen and several figures in the foreground look out over the scene. The print is dated 1709 and attributed to Anna Beek.
