About this work
A hand-colored copperplate plan and attack map of the fortified town of St. Leeuw, dated 1709, shows the star-shaped bastions and street layout within the walls. Surrounding fields, rivers, roads and siege trenches are drawn in the lower half, with a numbered explanation cartouche and a compass rose in the lower right. The print is attributed to Anna Beek.
