About this work
A hand-colored copper-engraved plan of the fortified city of Aath, showing its star-shaped bastions, surrounding waterways, and red-marked siege lines and batteries across the surrounding fields. An explanatory legend with lettered keys sits in an ornamental cartouche in the lower right. The print is attributed to Anna Beek and dated 1709.
