About this work
A hand-colored 1709 copper engraving showing a plan of the city of Barcelona and the Montjuïc castle, with trench lines and siege approaches drawn across the hillside. Warships ride at anchor in the bay below the fortified city, and a decorative cartouche with flags and cannons sits in the upper left corner. The print is attributed to Anna Beek.
