About this work
A hand-colored engraved print titled Dixmvda, attributed to Anna Beek and dated 1709. The upper panel shows a panoramic view of the walled town behind a moat, with a tall church spire, windmills and rows of houses, while the lower panel presents a bird's-eye street plan within star-shaped fortifications. Coats of arms, a compass rose and a key of numbered locations frame the composition.
