About this work
A hand-colored 18th-century print showing a bird's-eye plan of the city of Delft, with its surrounding moat, fortified bastions, and dense rows of red-roofed houses. Two coats of arms and a decorative title cartouche reading Delfi Batavorum venacule Delft frame the view, and a key table lists numbered locations at lower left. Ships are visible in the harbor at the right, and the print is dated 1709 and attributed to Anna Beek.
