About this work
This hand-colored copperplate map shows the walled town of Cortracvm, also known as Cortryck or Courtray, with its fortifications, moat, churches, and dense rows of houses. Surrounding farmland, roads, and two heraldic shields are depicted, and a numbered key with a scale bar appears in the lower right corner. The print is dated 1709 and attributed to Anna Beek.
