About this work
A woodblock print in the Japanese Prints tradition shows a snow-covered riverbank with a curving canal filled with ducks. Pedestrians, a figure drawing water at a well, and long wooden buildings with snowy roofs line the shore, framed by a pine on the left and a bare cherry tree on the right.
