About this work
A chromolithographic poster titled The Young Equestriennes, published by Gaylord Watson in 1881, shows a group of riders on horseback in a broad landscape before a large Victorian house. Smaller framed vignettes in the corners depict a rider jumping a fence, a groom tending a white horse in a stable, and riders on a road near a cottage.
