About this work
A colored print of a busy construction site in front of a large neoclassical building with a quadriga sculpture on its roof. Workers shape stone blocks with mallets and chisels, a man lays bricks beside scaffolding, and a mounted rider and a row of uniformed soldiers stand in the background. The work is attributed to A. Toller and dated 1875.
