About this work
A hand-colored lithographic scene of a busy harbor quay shows barrels, crates and sacks being loaded and moved by workers beside a masted ship and a small boat. Horse-drawn carriages and well-dressed men on the street lead toward a building labeled Gasthof zum Adler, with a columned civic building behind. The print is credited to A. Toller and dated 1875.
