About this work
A colored print titled The River, drawn by A. Toller and dated 1875, shows a riverside scene with fishermen working nets and a rowboat near the bank. Steamboats, a sailboat, and a stone bridge stretch across the middle distance, while a horse cart, haystacks, and a water mill with a large wheel frame the right side.
